Welcome to the growing band of people. There is a lot of information around and, apart from the internet, forums are an excellant way of finding out things because of the wide variety of people that contribute. If you have any questions or want information, don't be afraid to ask. I'm sure someone here can provide you with the answers.

Hi all, perhaps I may be the only "pure" bus enthusiast here, but I was asked to join by the C & D Stock bloke! Good luck on getting this forum off the ground, and I hope I will be able to participate in more than just the London Buses part of the board! You are not alone!!

Hello folks. I've just joined and I can see a few people here who I recognise from District Dave. My interest focuses more on the historical....if anyone can explain to me the intricacies of the Gibson & Lilley valve gear that the Met Tanks had fitted to them, and how it differed from the Allen gear that it replaced I would be most grateful.

Welcome to the forum. History can be a fascinating thing and the mechanics of something even more so. I've no idea what either of those things are but you could try posting on one of the boards - perhaps Rolling Stock? or Metropolitan line.

Great site you have here! Welcome to the Forum, we won't hold it against you for being a civilian or being a member of the 'ahem' forum as I'm sure you'll be a valid member to London's Transport Forum. Greetings all, Specialtubes here. Read what you like into the username! Been on the Underground for too long now, worked on the stations first before going on to the trains, only have a couple of lines left to learn before I get a multi coloured 'Been there done that' T-Shirt!
