I'd love to see the documents, if they still exist. I'd find it interesting to know why things were chosen the way they were. So would I as I understand they have so much material at the Acton Museum they are running out of space and may even start to let material go as it is expensive to store. I remember some 30 years ago material was hard to come by as it was not stored centrally each department or even office having their own system and that has mean't a lot of material has gone forever, I was even told recently that the master copies of the traffic circular supplements were just disposed of due to the cost of keeping them such a shame.

If I'm right, the Central Line was: Liverpool St. and everything East of began with an 'L' denoting Loughton branch and everything West was 'C' denoting City, that's what I was told many moons ago.
