36 crossover is to be removed in early 2019, last use by empty stock will be on Saturday 29th December 2018. It only has shunt signals so is not used by passenger trains.

Thanks
I'm not sure how it's survived this long. An E - W move would generally mean carrying on east to clear the crossover then reversing to go on to the WB. This would take longer to reverse than a standard change ends in the platform, so I assume that it was rarely used for reversing in normal traffic hours.
Is there a date for when the Farringdon - Moorgate stabling sidings are expected to be completed and commissioned?

No date has been set for the opening of the City sidings, only the junction points and trap points at Farringdon have been laid but are not commissioned.

Not quite correct as the fate has been set for when the new signalling is commissioned currently 2020 but I am sure it won't make it until 2021. We seen that Hammersmith is still to changeover and it keeps dropping back, watch this space. No I don't have a magic wand.

36 crossover and shunt signals will be removed in engineering hours starting 26 January through to 27 February 2018, also the positive current rail will be moved away from the platform side at the site of the former crossover .
