Found this and I don't remember seeing before so sorry if you have. I like the mention of 1 person every 2 secs! They must think it is like that out in the real world. Evacuation

I imagine that LU will use that standard timing in the event of a real life detrainment and will be disciplining the driver / assisting staff when the actual detrainment probably takes an average of 10 seconds or more per person on a good detrainment.
I assume that, wherever S stock runs, the neggy rail ballast and sleepers were removed from the p-way and the track bed levelled and concreted over so that passengers could smoothly walk off the train. They will also have widened the p-way to give much more room than before the easy circulation of detrained passengers. Also, there will be one member of staff for every five detrained passengers in order to make sure that they move swiftly away from the train so that they don't cause any blocking-back.
Just shows how out of touch higher-ups are if they believe that crap!

Nortube how right you are the higher might have a train set at home so if it works that's it no problem. Thankfully detrainments are fairly rare but when they happen there is always something that did not go to plan, but is normally covered up and never makes the light of day.

On paper everything works but in practice that's another matter. As Nortube said it would be more like 10 secs a person and remember how long it takes people to get off when stepping off the train to the platform.
