On the subject of Northumberland Park station I see that Haringey council intend to redevelop the area along with developments around White Hart Lane. I recently came across a planning document suggesting that LUL will or may have 2 platforms at the redeveloped Northumberland Park station with a view to using the depot roads from Seven Sisters to extend the passenger service. The document can be viewed/downloaded here

IIRC there was a plan in the 1960s/70s to do this using the site where the original staff platform was which appears to be about the same area although it mentions from Tottenham Hale? The original plan before the Vic line was built was to go from Tottenham Hale it was then dropped due to tight curves.

The original plan before the Vic line was built was to go from Tottenham Hale it was then dropped due to tight curves. When Edmonton Green shopping centre was built there was talk then of possibly extending the Victoria line north as far as Waltham Cross but it was a non-starter given the fact that there were already the main ER lines through Lower Edmonton and Edmonton Angel Road and the costs let alone any other considerations. Of course great chunks of north London have been redeveloped since 1970. Personally I think running trams from Seven Sisters and Manor House to Waltham Cross and Waltham Abbey would be a better idea.
