According to the TfL status, the DLR is completely suspended due to a dud train at Westferry:
20:30 DLR No service Docklands Light Railway: No service while we fix a faulty train at Westferry. DLR tickets will be accepted on London Underground and local bus services via any reasonable route.
I can't believe that a faulty train at Westferry shuts the whole DLR
Surely they can run some sort of service somehere on the system - they've got enough crossovers!

Can't see how a problem at Westferry can stop trains from Woolwich, Becton and Stratford going to Lewisham, or Woolwich and Becton going to Stratford International! Even being on the junction shouldn't be an issue as the 3 corners of the triangle there are all different junctions quite a distance from each other.
Would be interesting to find out more.

There must be more to the problem if it affected the whole of the DLR. I can't think of how a train failure could other than blocking the line but as has been said there are plenty of cross overs where they could run services. Being an automated railway perhaps the fault was something they were not happy with.

It must have been something like that to cause so much problems, if anyone knows would be interested.

It must have been something like that to cause so much problems, if anyone knows would be interested. No idea but it has to be serious to shutdown the entire system, Safety, Control and Power are the obvious thoughts but could it perhaps be an issue at Poplar control centre such as complete computer system failure.
