So I've heard The MD had found a solution to resolve the problem (by using proper LU station staff to detrain as per what should happen). The line management had other ideas. So it continues and the customers suffer cancellations and congestion.

My understanding was SRT turned up to undertake the detrainment but were turned away and denied the ability to sign in until a meeting that was due to be held last week.

Who turned them away? Seems a bit strange that LU staff that are sent to a station are then turned away by other LU staff. Did the SS / GSM object?
It all stinks of politics rather than being concerned about what's best for the passengers

This is definitely a backward step. Surely de-training is a safety critical part of running a railway and putting passenger safety first or are they waiting for another Liverpool St. incident to occur. If only these jumped up Managers were actually accountable for their rules, they'd think twice before implementing them.
Blind stupidity.
