London Railfan Guide
Visitors to London who are also transport enthusiasts (‘railfans’) sometimes ask for advice as to the ‘best’ things to see on London’s railway network. Typically they mean the London Transport railways, or in other words the underground (subway, metro) and whilst this site is primarily about that it also briefly looks at the wider railway scene within London. This is especially important as there are many instances of interworking and shared services with London's other railway systems - the mainline railway (National Rail), the Docklands Light Railway and Croydon / London Tramlink An in-depth look at some of the (mainly) rail developments and issues in London

Urban Explorer sites
There are various urban explorer sites which cover visits that have been made (usually without permission) to places that the public wouldn't see. These sites are really worth a look at as the photography is usually of professional standard and some of the places have amazing architecture or other qualities. The sewers are one example of this, from superb Victorian crafstmanship to modern gigantic plugholes. These sites usually have at least some Underground / Metro topics. Because of the large amount of material on these sites, you may need to allow a few seconds for the page to load completely. Just because it says Done, doesn't mean it has completely loaded! A few sites are listed below. Check out the links on these sites to other sites.
