Hi I am a pensioner and I have joined the forum and I have a question which is a long shot.
My wife, who comes from Twickenham and I don't but she was wondering if anybody remembers a Sunday only bus route that started from the Red Lion pub and went to, she thinks to Harefield Hospital and was route 'C' and was operated by Twickenham Garage and by STLs.

Ken Ken, I may be able to help but can you give a bit more specific info please. The Red Lion Pub where and is it the Harefield Hosp in Ruislip? Can you give an idea of what years you think the route ran? Twickenham ran routes 27, 37, 71, 90(A, B & C) and 111 and later the 290 which replaced part of the 90 routes. The 90C ran out of Twickenham an was a Sunday only route but it ran from Hammersmith to Staines and was RT operated. If you can supply any further info I'll try and investigate a bit more. Regards, SpecialT.

The bus came from the garage private and turned outside the Red Lion as it was a very wide opening and parked in Lion Road she thinks it was running either in late 1940 or in the 1950s. The hospital was in the Uxbridge area.
