Live update 09:22: No service between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction while we fix a signal failure at Wandsworth Road.
NR Latest travel news at 09:22 (first reported 08:30): A lineside fire is causing disruption near Clapham High Street. Because of this, there are delays of up to 30 minutes between Denmark Hill and Clapham Junction. These delays will continue until further notice.
So, is this two separate incidents? (signal failure and fire) One incident (fire)? Or one incident (fire) that created the second incident (damaged signal cables, causing a failure?)
Are WE fixing a signal failure or are WE being firemen?
What are WE doing touching NR equipment anyway?

WE seem to be very multifunctional. Perhaps they can come and fix a manhole cover in my road that's taken Thames Water over two months to try and repair

and I see that WE are fixing a faulty freight train tonight as well:
20:35 "Minor delays between Richmond / Clapham Junction and Stratford while we fix a faulty freight train at Willesden Junction. Tickets will be accepted on London Underground services via any reasonable route. GOOD SERVICE on all other routes."
So, it would appear that TfL is branching out. What next will WE be doing I wonder?
