What's going on at Wimbledon? NR announced yesterday: Speed restrictions have been imposed near Wimbledon. During a routine track inspection, a problem has been found on one of the train lines through Wimbledon. As a result, trains have to run at 5mph on that line, so less trains are able to run and delays may occur.
and said that it would be until 09:00 today. However, at 19:50 it still seems to be ongoing.
I assumed it to be a cracked rail that would be sorted out during the night. However, unless they've got a blacksmith in making a new rail by hand, I assume it's not a broken rail that's at fault.

I spotted that today. Wondered why all the Big Trains were going so slow! Still ongoing this evening. Oh.... and it's 'fewer trains'

Cracked crossing on the London side of the station so I'm told. Temporary repaired now so you should see 50mph ESR.
