Redundant crossover number 11 east of the station is being removed at the end of March 2015.
The crossover will be replaced by plain line.

That's what is says in the Traffic Circular, it's taken them this all this time to do this one. Cound be planning to take out other redundant points out at a later date .

Are there any contact numbers in the TC that I might be able to use, it's on our doorstep.

I only have the part of the Circular with the alteration . The only thing I can think of is to find out who is Track Manager for that end of the line. Also look at the Epping Ongar railway website they seem to have connections with top bods on LUL. ( news March 3rd 2015 )

On the weekend of 13/14 February 2021 10A/10B crossover and 27 trap points will be permanently removed and plain line re railed. The eastbound road will be shortened by 125m with the existing sand drag and fixed train arrestor arrangement being replaced with a new fixed train arrestor.
Two new fixed arrestors will be installed back to back on the westbound road at the London Underground boundary for the Central line and the Epping to Ongar railway trains.
Redundant conductor rail and insulators on the eastbound and westbound road from Epping platforms 1 & 2 up to the London Underground boundary will be permanently removed.

Thanks
I assume that this means that any (very unlikely) moves between Epping / Ongar would involve temporarily removing the arrestors on the WB line?

Well it looks like LUL don’t want to make it easy for transfers to the Epping - Ongar line in the future.

There is a photo of the arrestors in place on RailUK Forums:
I was expecting something more solid. It looks as if it wouldn't take much to temporarily remove them if necessary
