This book was published in 2002 by a Central line motorman, I'd never bought this book when it came out and the other day found a copy online. Well worth a read for anyone who wants to work on the railway, he writes on a personal level about his life and all the aspects of moving up to Motorman from the mid 60's. Plenty of historical pictures in there too, well reccomend!

Yes, a good read from personal experience, he's now retired.

The Central Line (London's Underground Past and Present) by Griffiths, Robert (2007)
Romancing the Tube
still available on Amazon.

Thanks Gentleman Jim, I caught up with Bob on Facebook. It's a small world these days... either that or there's no escape.
