Hopefully those of you with a signalling background will be able to help.
The different types of lever well the colour they are painted have different meanings can anyone provide a full definition please.
Some are obvious like
Red-signal
Black-point
White-spare
Yellow-release
Blue-auto working
It's when it comes to the mixed colours and checking on line there is only mainline answers.

Well it'a a while since I was in signals (pulling levers) but you have missed slots/switchlocks different colours depending which line/route not to be confused with the push pull frames they gave additional locking on points. Someone like Harsig or Railtechnician are the right people to tell you more.

It's been a while but red/black striped springs to mind for route levers as used in Arnos Grove IMR on 25 and 36 routes but also as slot levers elsewhere, IIRC blue/black striped for a stick relay circuit (although long plated out and I never saw one anywhere else) in Acton East IMR, red/yellow striped for switchlock point indications in Boston Manor IMR and Oakwood IMR, brown for the level crossing control in Neasden IMR. I believe (I could be wrong but I think I read it somewhere) that green was used for fogger apparatus (automatic detonator placers) long ago.

I remember 29 lever at Baker Street in the 1970s this was a route locking lever, the push pull frames Finchley Road and Rayners Lane and Harrow now that brings memories back not that I would want to go back.

As I said 'I could be wrong' and now that you mention it green for TD rings a bell although checking my signal lineman notes on frames there is no mention of green levers although I'm sure I must have that in writing somewhere. Thinking on I have in my head black/white striped levers and I'm wondering where I recall that from, I certainly can't recall seeing any in my days on the job. It is possible that I am confusing LT signalling and BR/other signalling as I possess a number of signalling texts/references in my library, most of which I have not looked at in years.

Black/White that came to mind was actually for BR cabin levers painted in chevrons, up or down according to direction of road, rather than stripes. I imagine that LT may have been the same for fogger apparatus in the original cabins but I don't know and I've never seen fogger apparatus controlled from miniature lever frames.
