i just hope it all works after the jubilee carry on when that first went over to TBTC should be interesting to see how well the system will cope with camden junction and kennington junction

At the moment NMA1 is west Finchley to high Barnet....
Camden is the one everyone is crapping about as apparently tbtc has a problem with recognising the routing there..... So they could run a segregated service but are working on the view to routing whichever one they want.
It's working well at resent with most problems being caused by rolling stock issues and not the signalling.

The acceleration rate of the 95 stock under TBTC is 1.3 m/s/s
I've heard that the trains come into High Barnet Pfm 1 at 30mph

Driverless trains are the way forward, there will be issues no doubt as there would be with any system being integrated with older infrastructure but things will be ironed out until perfection.

The trains are hardly driver less yet.
There will be plenty of issues to overcome before that happens. One of them being that people still have easy access to the track and without a person ready to stop the train it could become very messy. The section between High Barnet and East Finchley is all open section so until there is a full proof method of stopping a train for an obstruction ahead there will always be someone sitting in the front.

Driving is boring enough normally, let alone with TBTC, worse in tunnel sections where there is no scenery. If they decide to bring automatic door operation in then that will be even worse from a driver's point of view.
The fun started to go out of the job when there was no longer a westinghouse brake to test your skill with. Now, the train (or train doctor) telling you what is wrong with the train and what to do meant that there was very litle train equipment to learn and the courses were dumbed right down as a consequence. Again, that made the job less interesting. The only good thing with the newer stock was a larger cab and the proper air conditioning that occasionally worked correctly.

No need for that at all, everyone worries far too much about trespassers and their H&S. Personally I have no time for idiots who put themselves in harms way. There has long been the argument about avoiding the potential disruption such people cause if an incident ensues. My answer to that is simply to mitigate such incidents the old fashioned way and fit cow catchers to the driving motor cars!

ATO/TBTC/Seltrac/Driverless....
There really isn't much scope between any of them to become a fully driverless system, TfL have released a document that shows how a driverless system would operate in tunnelled areas. Fascinating stuff! The technology is there and has been for some time so its something that should have happened years ago. Will it happen? Yes. In our life time? I doubt it.
