An S-Stock ran on the District line in Traffic Hours for the first time. It ran from Lillie Bridge to Triangle Sidings reversing at High Street Kensington. It was undergoing integration testing at Triangle Sidings. After that it went to Neasden Depot. Here it is seen leaving Kensington (Olympia) www.flickr.com/photos/juliang2006/9253332135/

We have been told in no uncertain terms that they can not do this! Was it perhaps running at a time when it wouldn't pass another train en-route? (ie. In traffic hours but before adjacent tracks would be populated with a train??)

Lots of S Stock testing has taken place at night and it is now known where any gauging issues with S Stock occur, which, as the S stock gauge is nothing spectacular, doesn't occur very often. If there were any issues, the train wouldn't have run! I rather contest that this was the "1st time" the S Stock has run on the District Line during traffic hours - quite a ridiculous claim when the S stocks were already running to Barking on the H&C over District tracks, not to mention that before the H&C ran S Stocks past Moorgate, I took an S stock to Barking Sidings during traffic hours so that Barking Sidings could be signal sighted and signed off for S Stock operation!

S Stocks were running and stopping at Acton Town last week throughtout the night. I was doing nights and watched them opening and closing the doors and notching up from the canteen until I got bored.
