I note the delete facility no longer exists so the mods will have to clean up the mess in the 'Mess Room' ! A double post as a result of a system glitch followed by a new post as it looked as though the original had not posted!
A typical Proboards issue it seems, where the browser (Chrome in this case) hangs endlessly awaiting some ad to load !

There hasn't been a deliberate removal of the delete facility as far as I know.
As a moderator I can delete messages via the options (cog wheel) button which gives me a moderate menu that contains delete (I've tidied up the two messages). However, I have a delete option as normal from the drop down options menu for my own posts that deletes the post. I assume that is available to everybody. I'll make a trial post in the same mess room thread and see if I get the normal (not moderator) delete option to remove it.
Just tried it. I created a message in the same thread and then was able to delete it as normal. Perhaps there was just a hiccup when you did it
The following drop down options should be available: Select post Link to post Report post Delete post Member
Can you either try a new post or look at one of your earlier posts and see if you get these options. Thanks

Thanks It's very strange, the facility is there now but wasn't available when I was trying to delete the double post. All part of the glitch I suppose. There have been a few glitches lately but I cannot lay them all at Proboards door, two days ago after typing several paragraphs I hit 'create post' and got a BT webpage telling me that I didn't have an internet connection and I lost what I had typed, when that happens I simply forget it! (I know there's a Proboards facility to save messages on the fly but I haven't enabled it.) BT broadband seems prone to such events, fortunately it is my broadband backup system which I use only for email and posting to forums, I have a much better guaranteed 20Mb radio broadband connection for everything else.

It also appears that Internet Explorer 9 may suddenly be giving problems if trying to upload an attachment to a post - possibly since a recent IE9 update.
I've had weird things happen when going to post a reply and suddenly being taken out of the forum, or at least out of the post (as if I'd cancelled the post). Luckily I have Drafts enabled so I don't actually lose anything). Perhaps proboards is having a few problems.
