Breaking News: North Yorkshire Moors Railway are applying BAR CODES to there rolling stock to aid spotters in identifying locos and timings. How cool is that?

Do spotters have to stand there with a giant scanner in their hands waving it as the train rolls by like shopping on a conveyor belt? Hopefully they won't use the Morrisons self-scan system which tells you to "remove last item" nearly every time!
