There is some confusion about the number of the house, with sites giving the number as 23, 24, 25, 23-24 or 24-25. However,
after checking it with various places, the number is actually 24, even though it is a double facade. 19-23 is the Henry VIII hotel, 25-31 is the Leinster Towers Hotel. Number 24 consists of the black door one side and the white door on the other, not the two black doors as sometimes shown when the site is discussed.
Below are details of the path the tracks take between Bayswater station and Praed St Junction:
The track goes in a straight line from Bayswater to Craven Hill Road, under the rear of 42 Craven Hill Gardens, where it turns slightly north (1), following Craven Road as far as Westbourne Terrace.
Just east of Westbourne terrace, the track turns slightly south (2), going under the Pride of Paddington pub on the corner of Craven Road and Spring St and into the LU Paddington station on the south side of Praed St.
This is easy to follow on Google Earth:
42 Craven Hill Gardens is a rectangular white building at the east end of the gardens. The rear is set back and has a brick wall facing onto Craven Hill Road. The brick wall is in fact a rectangular brick box which takes up most of the back yard and is a small cutting (vent) above the outer circle line. The wall is clearly seen on Google Street view, although the actual hole is a lot harder to see on Google Earth because of the poor quality pictures and shadow.
The 2003 or 2006 view seem to be the best views.
Departing Paddington EB, the track runssouth of Praed St, under the houses of Praed St and London Mews / Praed Mews. There is a cutting behind 151 –141 Praed St and 17 – 14 London Mews. The track then curves, via a cuttingunder Bouverie Place, to run under Praed St to Praed Street Junction (at the corner of South Wharf Road and Praed St) then under Praed St towards Edgware
Road.

(1) this is the first bend, after “….1868”(2) this is the second bend just before Paddington
There are numerous cuttings of all different lengths on the sub surface lines. The map shows some of them, represented by ( )
